Professor Dr. Laila M. ElFangary is a distinguished academic in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems, with a particular emphasis on Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
Dr. ElFangary's academic journey began at the American University in Cairo, where she graduated with Honors in Economics and later earned a master’s degree in business administration from the American University in Cairo. She furthered her education at Helwan University, where she obtained a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Management Information Systems.
Dr. ElFangary is a certified corporate director from the Egyptian Institute of Directors EIoD in Collaboration with the International Finance Corporation IFC and accredited from the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA. Dr. ElFangary combines corporate governance expertise with advanced knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, encompassing Digital Art Creation, Natural Language Processing, and Prompt Engineering. This blend of skills facilitates innovative governance strategies, enhancing organizational decision-making and efficiency through the strategic integration of AI technologies. Dr. ElFangary's approach not only streamlines operations but also ensures governance frameworks remain adaptable and forward-thinking in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. Her contributions to the academic community are significant, with over 50 research papers published in esteemed journals.
As a university professor, Dr. ElFangary has dedicated nearly three decades to teaching Information Systems, Corporate Governance and Artificial Intelligence at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Her teaching journey spans the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Helwan University, the School of Management at the American University in Cairo and the School of Business and Finance in NewGiza University
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. ElFangary has held several leadership positions, demonstrating her commitment to institutional development and education. She has served as Acting Dean, Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, and Head of the Information Systems Department at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Helwan University.
